#allidiotsmatter or is it #noidiotsmatter ?
As for 60 mph vs 25 mph, like a bro truck, it’s all talk. I’m like 60% sure of it.

We’re just mobbing at 60 while your cars are doing 25
I believe that’s what’s known as driving too fast for the conditions.

I see many Trucks going way over the limit in winter.
I also mostly see trucks in the ditches in winter too.

those aren’t snow tires. Mr. Shallow Gene Pool apparently didn’t know that 4x4 doesn’t help you steer or stop.

After a snowy ~40 mile highway commute the other day, my wife texts me from work, “Made it to work. Only cars off the road were pickup trucks.” She was in my wagon with snow tires, driving like a normal human being.
Edit: Oh, and holy crap you brag about driving like a lunatic in the snow, this IS what you should get.

For me it’s the people in the $50k + SUV. They put all their faith into the electronic aides that help keep them on the road and prevent crashing, and exceed those limits, greatly.

I live in Northern Canada, so every other car here is a F150, GM twin or a Ram.

But even more likely to have the completely wrong tires on the car. Stretched UHP all seasons dont do too well in the winter.

Pickup trucks are good in snow right? That’s what they’re known for being good in, slippery conditions. Common knowledge.

Plus if you can’t make it out of your driveway, your chances of wrecking decrease even more dramatically.

Looks like the snow is covering the top of the light, it just blends in with the white truck so well that it looks like it’s supposed to be that way.

Given the geo-tagging on the shots looks like one of the many bro-trucks running around the Portland, OR metro area. It’s amazing how many of these are out there - of course there are true trucks that get plenty of outdoor and farm use, and I know quite a few people who have trucks for just that. But also way too many have ridiculous blinding lights, stupid lifts, ridiculous wheels, and so many “look cool” add ons. And more than a few of them drive like absolute tools too. I seriously wonder how these people justify that kind of expense on something meant for nothing, if not little, more than appearances.

On the facebook group for one of my cars, there was some discussion about 4WD helping you to get going, but it doesn’t help you to stop.
My response:
“Subaru drivers often have to learn this the hard way.
Very little stops them, including their own brakes.”

I went out on Saturday in my rear wheel drive German barge, which makes something like 500 hp, on all season tires and was passing everybody, including brodozers, because I’m from Wisconsin and I learned to drive in this shit. North Carolina drivers suck. Worst offender was a white lifted 4WD Hummer H2 with offroad tires doing 14 miles an hour on highway 70. I mean come on, it’s just ridiculous!

I remember one bro truck driver getting pissed at me for mocking his low pro “mud tires.” He said that unlike my XJ he can’t fit big tires on his truck stock. I replied that going with the low pro tires makes so much sense, large rims are great off-roading at the mall.

It’s funny when someone who learned to drive in actual winters goes somewhere where people aren’t used to snow. My S600 is undriveable in the snow or slush or rain or heavy humidity due to the tires but that’s a different story.

They’re mud tires, which are barely behind bald tires and slicks for being terrible choices for winter traction.
